What are dipped airway buffing wheels?

Dipped buffing wheels are manufactured as regular buffing wheels at the beginning but then later are dipped in a glue solution that hardens the mill treated cotton material to a very aggressive stiffness. Consider using dipped polishing wheels on only the most aggressive metal polishing operations.

The orange 8" buffing wheel is dipped for the use of iron, steel, aluminum, and stainless steal. The 8" diameter includes a 3" center plate and 5/8" arbor. The suggested compounds for this are 87 Stainless, BrownTripoli.
